Choose between a hilltop room and a beach chalet at this rainforest resort, wedged on the tip of the Damai Peninsula between the ocean and Mount Santubong. The Damai Beach Resort, a 40-minute drive from Kuching city, could until recently only be reached by sea, and there is still a genuine sense of remoteness here. That doesn't mean there aren't plenty of activities on offer on land and water for anyone who hasn't come specifically to relax on the soft white sand.
